Gold & Category Winner at the 2026 Master Builders Awards (Auckland/Coromandel)
We are proud to showcase one of our latest projects—a stunning, newly constructed two-storey beachfront residence at Whangamata. This 245-square-meter home embodies the ultimate in coastal luxury, designed with meticulous attention to detail to complement its breathtaking surroundings.
The residence seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor living spaces, allowing the beauty of the surf beach and Pacific Ocean to become part of the home itself. From the moment you step through the entrance with its striking stone feature wall, you are greeted by a blend of elegance and modern comforts.
The kitchen, complete with a spacious scullery, caters to both casual gatherings and gourmet cooking. The upper deck, with the option to fully enclose, ensures all-weather enjoyment—perfect for sun-soaked afternoons or cozy evenings by the outdoor fire. The top floor is dedicated to a luxurious master suite, complete with a walk-in wardrobe, ensuite, and sweeping ocean views, offering a true retreat within the home.
On the ground floor, privacy and practicality are seamlessly combined. Three additional bedrooms open onto a beautifully landscaped courtyard, complete with a fish filleting station and an outdoor shower—ideal for beachside living. This level also includes a full bathroom, a dedicated laundry space, and a welcoming entrance foyer.
This project reflects our commitment to delivering homes that blend timeless style with modern conveniences, making the most of their unique environments and client preferences.
Master Builders Awards Judges’ Comments:
“This Coromandel coastal site has been transformed into a distinctive development of three related yet individual homes. A shared strategy created efficiency across the project, while each residence was given a character of its own: the Miami, the mid-century and the contemporary. Together, they create variety within a cohesive streetscape.
Tilt-slab construction and a concrete mid-floor system provide durability, acoustic performance and a strong sense of permanence, reflecting the owners’ desire for homes built to last for generations. Natural stone, cedar and concrete give each residence its own identity while remaining practical and low maintenance in a beachfront environment. The landscaping is equally responsive to coastal life, balancing spaces for preparing the day’s catch and rinsing off sand and salt with elevated outdoor living that makes the most of the ocean view. Robust, refined and carefully shaped around coastal living, this is a highly accomplished mixed development.”
